The Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 MK3 in black is a 61-key MIDI keyboard controller built to be the hub of your studio, with deep integration into Arturia's Analog Lab software and major DAWs. It is a flexible controller for producers and performers.
It offers velocity-sensitive keys, assignable faders, encoders and backlit performance pads, plus dedicated DAW and software-control sections for hands-on mixing and instrument control. “The one I have in for review is the 61‑keyed black version and it’s gorgeous. The off‑centred colour screen is set in a square of shiny fingerprint‑attracting plastic, surrounded by eight buttons with a lovely silver hi‑fi‑style encoder just to the right. Arturia have shaved off a bit of the depth, which helps it feel neater and slimmer, but at the cost of four pads and a row of what were probably useful buttons.”Read full review →

“It’s hard to really have any gripes with the KeyLab. It sets up easily, looks neat, is well priced and has a tonne of sounds that come with it. And it can tweak all those sounds with its knobs straight away. Everything is geared toward workflow. If you’re not convinced we’d suggest you take a look at other options around this price point. Notable alternatives are Novation Launchkey Mini, Arturia Keystep Pro, Native Instruments Kontrol S61 or M-Audio Keystation 61 controller.”Read full review →
