GHS Electric Guitar String Set Coated Boomers- Light 0.10 - 0.46 Gauge
Overview
This sterile environment protects the string from any contaminant and corrosive, and the tear-proof packets have a transparent side for help identifying each string before having to expose them to oxygen. All of this goes into making sure that when you put a set of GHS strings on your guitar, you're getting the freshest and most clear-sounding strings possible.

Probably in a blindfold test I couldn't tell the difference, but that's not my method of choosing. I'm extremely fussy and I like knowing that my finger-to-guitar interface is this GHS Boomers 10 - 46, otherwise I feel stressed.
I've used GHS Boomers since the mid 80's. I've tried many other brands and they don't compare! The price is great. I use guitar and bass strings. In addition the acoustic strings are great also! A side note if you have an obscure string instrument GHS will make custom strings for you ...
Boomers.. I was a big Ernie Ball fan but about two years ago someone gave be a set of Boomers. I have not looked back! Only string I ever buy now for all the obvious reasons: tone, reliability, strength etc. Or Maybe I've just been lucky. ... I have been using GHS Boomers since I began playing more than 15 years ago.
