The Mackie Thump GO 8-inch Portable Battery-powered Loudspeaker delivers the full, well-balanced projection of a Mackie loudspeaker in a lighter-weight package for easier on-the-go use. An 8-inch custom high-output woofer pairs with a 1-inch compression driver to provide powerful audio with incredible dynamic range, ensuring a full bass sound with hard-cutting treble.
I've not pushed them super hard to see just how loud they can be, but in my studio they sound rich and full with the Helix - and they truly do 'thump! " So since the Helix WILL require plug-in power, I'll use the Mackie speakers plugged in for live monitoring if I'm playing out - maybe even as live floor audio instead of an amp.
If I'm busking with the battery powered looper setup, I'll use the Mackies powered by the internal batteries. Just know I'm impressed with the sound and volume. Those 8" speakers are not wimpy!

“You’ll need the XLR thru connection to get hardwired signals from the first Thump GO to the second, and the mix will be the same for both speakers. Zone Mode permits independent control for the front LED, feedback eliminator, ducking, and provides custom EQ for each speaker. The two-band EQ is accessible only using Connect 2 and features fixed low (80 Hz) and high (6.5 kHz) bands.
