At the center of the kit is the British-designed STC-2 microphone, featuring a large-diaphragm condenser capsule that's ready to capture a wide range of vocal and instrumental performances. The mic offers a cardioid polar pattern that helps reduce background sound and focuses pick up on the talent in front of the the capsule.

Also provided is a shockmount to isolate the microphone from vibrations and reduce low-frequency hum and handling noise for cleaner, more professional recordings.
