The Volt 2's converters can convert incoming analogue signals into a digital data stream in 24Bit/192kHz quality. The preamps of this audio interface can deliver vintage as well as clean sound with which the sound of the classic UA 610 preamp is reproduced. If you also want a compressor that delivers the vintage character of the UA 1176, you can take a look at the Volt 276 audio interface instead.
The Volt 2 can be used with computers running Windows 10 or later and macOS 10. 14 or later, as well as Apple devices running iOS 14 or later. With the Universal Audio Volt 2, recording enthusiasts get the most important functions to achieve high-quality recordings. In 1999, Putnam's sons Bill Putnam Jr.
and James Putnam re-founded Universal Audio, transferring their father's analogue vision and craftsmanship to the digital music world. Their product range includes audio interfaces, dedicated DSP farms and a variety of plug-ins, as well as analogue hardware devices. If you need an interface that sounds expensive but doesn’t make you sell a kidney — the Volt 2 from Universal Audio is exactly that.
